Designed by Bill Dixon, the Moody 54 was introduced at the January 2000 London Boat Show, and was immediately successful. The design brief was for a fast ocean cruising yacht with ease of handling for two, hence all three sails of her cutter rig being on furling gear, with the staysail being a self tacker. Production continued until 2004, by which time 55 had been built.
Electrically powered primary winches and a 10hp bow thruster also help make a yacht of this size a practical proposition for a couple to handle.
Dare Devil IV is from first owner, overwintered every year in a heated winterhall and is a sweet water yacht. You can immediately cast off and enjoy your circum navigation. Dare Devil IV is extremely fully equipped and in a mint condition. You can't imagine and it is on board. What more can you wish.
